Dear Sevasahayogi,
It was another day of a “Special” School Kit distribution. Seva Sahayog Foundation distributed 30 School Kits to rag-pickers’ children in Kalyan.
An old couple, Mr & Mrs Dharap, run free tuition classes for rag-pickers’ children in Annabhau Sathe Nagar near Kalyan Creek. Entire Kalyan’s Garbage is dumped here. All the families in this area make their living from this garbage. But they are looking forward to better future for their kids.
We had gone their for the kit distribution. It was raining heavily, but the children gathered with great enthusiasm. They were extremely happy to receive the kits.
