ABOUT YOGA IN PANCHKARMA

Yoga forms an integral part of the Panchakarma treatment at Ayushakti. Classical Yoga (combination of Raja Yoga and Hatha Yoga) is taught by Vandana Trivedi, yoga trainer at the health center for purposes of healing and therapy, for personal practice and for self- development.

A combination of asana, pranayama, relaxation and meditation has been found to create a deep, positive impact on the healing cum cleansing effect on the body as well as the mind.

Together with panchakarma, yoga becomes a pro-active effort and patients experience and appreciate more deeply the mind-body connection at various stages of the treatment.

Patients with problems ranging from,

  • Respiratory
  • Circulatory
  • Skin-related disorders
  • Orthopedic ailments
  • Endocrinal etc..

and various other stresses have shown remarkable effects on the physiology. Besides the apparent benefits on the physiology yoga also promotes

  • Clarity of thought
  • Steadiness and focus
  • Positivism and strength of will
  • Potential for spiritual growth
