Nausea, vomiting is the backward flow of stomach acid into the oesophagus.
One can feel the taste regurgitated food or sour liquid at the back of mouth or feel a burning sensation in chest (heartburn).

According to Ayurveda, untimely food habits and lifestyle causes the aggravation of Pitta in the in the inner lining of the stomach and generates Aam. It causes the imbalance in the acid, bile, Helicobacter Pylori, and gastric mucosa. It affects the superficial and glandular areas of the gastric mucosa of the stomach and reduces the Kapha dosha. This Kapha doshas helps in the proper digestion. It leads to symptoms like nausea and to throw out the food due to the accumulated Pitta and Vata moving upwards in the stomach region. This is known as vomiting. Feeling of vomit is known as nausea.

 

Signs and Symptoms of Nausea

• Heart burn
• Regurgitation of gastric acid or stomach contents into the mouth.
• Difficult and/or painful swallowing
• Chest pain

 

Causes of Nausea

• Excessive eating left over food
• Excessive intake of fermented food
• Intake of diet consisting of salty, sour, pungent, oily, , hot, and uncooked food
• Excessive intake of diet made up of sugarcane juice
• Anger
• Intake of curdled and spicy food
• Improper sleep
• Sleep during day time
• Alcohol
• Stress
• Having incompatible food like fish and milk

• Nausea Due To Indigestion

 

• 1 tsp coriander powder
• 1 tsp cumin powder
• 1 tsp fennel seeds powder

 

Soak in a glass of water & add extracted liquid from soaked 20 raisins.
Take this 3-4 times a day.

 

• For Travel Sickness

To reduce vomits during car, bus or train travel.

• 1 fresh Amla
• ¼ tsp Ginger powder
• ¼ tsp Black Pepper
• ½ tsp Rock Salt

 

Mix all the powders. Cut amla into half and deep in the powder and keep sucking during the travel. If there is vomit, suck ice constantly.

• 5 parts of Shatavari
• ⅛ part of Shankabhasma
