Asthama – The Ayurvedic Viewpoint

Aam (toxic mucus) is produced in the body due to indigestion which in turn blocks the normal air movements in the body.

Vitiated air movements (prokupit Vata) and aam (toxic mucous) push the cough upwards which is located in the diaphragm. This vitiated air also destroys the natural softness and elasticity of the respiratory channels. Thus, the respiratory tract’s natural lubrication is dried up creating the channels rough and stictured. These physiological changes cause difficulty in inhalation and exhalation.

This make Asthma treatment with Ayurveda, a necessity.
