Before we dive into the long-term side effects, let us have a look at what is the meaning of allopathic medicines this is an expression commonly used by homoeopaths and proponents of other forms of alternative medicine to refer to mainstream medical use pharmacologically active agents or physical interventions to treat or suppress symptoms or pathophysiology processes of diseases or conditions.
The Ayurvedic option of medicines is the science of nature. Not using any of the artificially generated substances. However, there is a very fine line between the use of a drug and abuse of them too. Everyone is pretty familiar with the quick effects of allopathic medications. Some are very familiar with the immediate and long-term side effects that are caused by allopathic drugs. If we take an example Aspirin: this can cause gastric irritation, asthmatics may have fresh attacks by the use of aspirin. Easy bruising or even bleeding from the nose, throat, lungs, and rectum can be caused due to excessive use of aspirin.
There are homoeopathic medications. Homoeopathy is defined as “A system of complementary medicine in which ailments are treated by minute doses of natural substances that in larger amounts would produce symptoms of the ailment.” However, when you look at the Ayurvedic option of medications it is a gift from nature to us. With not much use of any artificial substance, this makes it pure and even better for the system. Most of them are not subject to only one problem, they target other parts of the body and if they are working fine it is never any harm taking the medication. All medications made in an Ayurvedic way are biotic components. This leaves you with no side effects rooting out the problem instead of creating a shield behind which the pain exists.
Yes, it is correct that a long term use of any medicine causes various side effects. Ayurvedic drugs are a bit slower in the way they attack the problem. Allopathic drugs do this work quite fast. The side effects that are caused by allopathic drug reaction are relatively higher than the side effects caused by Ayurvedic medications. Although both are made with herbs, the allopathic drugs have more toxins this is because they are chemically synthesized as well. Ayurvedic medication is ancient medications which use herbs and shrubs to make the purest form of medication. This then has a low range of side effects.
While most will disagree with some aspects of Ayurvedic medications like some herbs do exist that can kill a person. They have to say that not all allopathic medications are artificial. For example Atropine from plant belladonna. They also may disagree that these medications have a symptomatic treatment. All allopathic medicines are not chemicals. Allopathic medicines are also prepared from herbs. But the difference is that they are stronger than Ayurvedic medicines.
Homeopathy doctors recommend their patients not to consume any allopathic medication. The idea behind not allowing them to do so is correct, as the homeopathic medications are chosen on the base of the symptoms and the effects are judged by the quality and measure of the symptoms.

When people are given allopathic medications for a long period it is very hard for them to immediately stop using that drug. There are cases where sudden withdrawal of the drug can cause very dangerous reactions to the patient. However, using homoeopathy medications in such cases is always used with allopathic medications side by side. As the person’s conditions start to improve the allopathic drugs are slowly taken away. But in such cases obtaining a cure becomes very difficult as the homoeopath has to prescribe on the mixed symptomatic state due to disease and the drugs. Even during the situations of pre-surgery, post-surgery or even trauma, the doctors give homoeopathic medications along with allopathic medications.
There are times when people are unwilling to get proper homoeopathic medication do their complaints but, however, wants to isolate acute conditions treated homeopathically. When such cases arise the homoeopathy usually does not deny treatment to such people.
The reason behind this thought is that often homeopathic medicines can interfere with each other’s action or can change the disease picture enough to make the follow-up prescribing difficult. This is not good for the long term treatment of such patients. These are some of the conditions when homeopathic medicines are given along with allopathic medicines.
This is a small gist into getting relief from long-term side effects, there are many more studies that show the possibilities and risks that are for both. However, taking Ayurvedic medication can be better than any other type of chemically infused medications.
