Types of Poor Cerebral Circulation

Poor cerebral circulation may results into following types of problem-

  • Stroke

When a blood clot blocks the flow of blood in your cranial artery, a stroke can occur. As a result, the brain tissue in that area can die. When that tissue dies, it can impair the functions that part of your brain normally controls. For example, it can affect your speech, movement, and memory. How severe the stroke is and how fast you receive treatment will determine how much damage has occusr. Some stroke victims are fully recovered. Many people suffer from strokes can end up with permanent disabilities or dead.

  • Cerebral hypoxia

Cerebral hypoxia is a condition when part of your brain doesn’t get enough oxygen. This happens when you don’t have enough oxygen in your blood even if there’s enough blood flow.

Causes of cerebral hypoxia include:

  • Drowning
  • Choking
  • Suffocation
  • High altitudes
  • Pulmonary diseases
  • Anemia

It's possible to appear confused or lethargic if you have it. Your brain tissue won't be damaged if you treat the root cause promptly. If you wait too long to address the problem, it can lead to coma or death.

  • Cerebral hemorrhage

Cerebral hemorhage refers to internal bleeding within your cranial cavity. This can happen when your arterial walls become weaker and burst. This causes blood to flow into your cranial cavity. This can cause pressure to build up in your cranial cavity, which can lead to loss of consciousness. Another possible cause of cerebral hemorhage is abnormally formed blood vessels and bleeding disorders.

Brain damage and death can result from a cerebral hemorhage. It is a medical emergency.

  • Cerebral edema

Edema refers to swelling caused by the accumulation of watery fluids. CerebralEdema is swelling is caused by an increase in water levels in the cranial cavity. It can also be caused by disruptions in blood flow to your brain.
