Hydration is key when it comes to soothing your skin from the inside. It is important to take care of your skin more from the inside than outside.
Cooling your body from the inside will help your skin to calm down. Putting water on a hot pan will make it sizzle. Likewise, the body is already heated,
We need to calm it down first before anything else.
Nothing treats Sunburn better than aloe vera. Many skincare products claim they use aloe vera in their products because of the skincare benefit it provides.
Aloe vera brings back your skin’s elasticity, cools it down, hydrates it from the outside, does not block your pores, tightens your skin and nourishes it.
Honey has antiseptic and antibacterial properties, which helps your skin heal alot more soon than usual. It moisturizes your skin, as we need to avoid
any product which contains perfume, honey can play a huge role in moisturizing your skin.
Bonus tip- Do not use any makeup on your skin. It will worsen the case.
D.I.Y at Home
a. For dark patches-
Chana dal coarsely powdered- 1 cup
Masoor dal coarsely powdered – ½ cup
Turmeric powder- 2 tsp
Sandalwood powder- 1/4th cup
Coriander seed powder- 1/4th cup
Red sandalwood powder- 1/4th cup
Cream of milk- 2 tsp
Milk enough to make a paste.
Mix into a paste and massage gently on the area affected. Leave for five minutes or until dry
and then wash it off with warm water.
b. For reducing Pitta, and calming skin problems
Raisins soaked overnight- 20
Cumin seed powder- ½ tsp
Coriander seed powder- ½ tsp
Fennel seed powder- 1tsp
Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
Squeeze the juice out of the soaked raisins, or simply add the other ingredients
blend.Drink it twice a day.
Body rashes due to pitta-
Apply Kokum oil(garcinia) or fresh kokum water or ghee on the rashes.
Avoid excessive exposure to the sun’s direct rays.
When you wash your face, allow the water to dry naturally so that it can moisturize the skin
