First five days: Follow a detox soup (mung and vegetable) diet. Whenever you are hungry, have this soup. This soup helps remove the toxins and bloating from various crooks and crannies of your body.

Detox soup is very easy to make and is quite palatable

Ingredients :

1 cup soaked green Mung & 2 cups of vegetables. (you can use vegetables like white pumpkin, yellow pumpkin, bottle gourd, carrot, onion, French beans, snake gourd, ridge gourd, turai, Galka, tendli ( soft gourd etc). Cook the mung along with the vegetables in a pressure cooker. Add garlic, ginger paste, and seasoning to taste. Garnish with coriander leaves and drink warm.

Mung relieves inflammation and bloating while flushing out toxins from the body. It is low in calories and leaves you feeling lighter and more energetic.

6th to 10th day:  Have thick mung & Vegetable soup.

Make a medium gravy type soup by cooking green mung and vegetables like bottle gourd, pumpkin, carrot, beans, soft gourd, green gourd, snake gourd. Spice up your soup with some ginger garlic paste, garam masala (according to your choice), and finally garnish it with the coriander leaves to satisfy your taste buds.

11th to 28th day :  You can return to a regular diet but restrict food items like wheat, fermented, sour, deep-fried foods, red meat like pork and beef and food that tends to create gas in the body. Citrus foods like lemon and tomato should be avoided. Try and prevent carbohydrates including rice, bread, pasta, chapatti, potato, fruits for a few days. Avoid yogurt for sure.

Your diet should now consist of more green and leafy vegetables like pumpkin, bottle gourd, carrot, french beans, turai, galka, tendli (soft gourds), spring onion. Mung and mung dal, tuvar daal (lentil) are very good. Avoid carbs as much as possible.

Non-vegetarians can have eggs, fish, or chicken once a week.  Green mung has full of proteins and minerals, and it is also Tridoshahara (Balances the Vata, Pitta, and Kapha elements in the body).

From the 11th day to 28th Day, your food proportion should be 70% vegetables, 20% proteins, and 10% carbohydrates.

You can make mung dal or besan (chickpea flour) pancakes or chilla in place of wheat roti/chapatti for your breakfast or lunch.  Eat 1-2 mung chilla and 2 bowls of cooked vegetables.  You can also have mung soup or mung&vegetable mix soup as your dinner before 8 pm. 

Spice up your foods with ginger, garlic, cumin, asafoetida, coriander which reduces gas formation in the body.

The weight loss of three to five kgs which you will achieve by the end of 30 days leaves you feel lighter and more energetic.  Additionally, you will be surprised to experience a reduction in your high blood sugar and high blood pressure levels if you continue this diet plan for few more months. In that case, you will experience a magical shift in your overall health with energy, enthusiasm, a regulated monthly cycle, reduction in PCOS, No pain in the knee, back, or other joints.  Finally, you get a clear skin with a natural glow on your face!
