HOW TO MAKE HEALTHY MOONG SOUP
INGREDIENTS
- 250gms overnight soaked Moong beans
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 2 tsp ghee
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- Hing
- Salt (as per taste)
- 1/2 tsp Jaggery
- Kokum (2-3 pieces)
- Fresh green coriander leaves
- Bay Leaf (2 pieces)
INSTRUCTIONS
1) Heat a pan and add 2 tsp ghee
2) Now add 1 tsp cumin & 1 tsp mustard seeds
3) Let it simmer for a while
4) Add 2-3 bay leaves & a pinch of Hing(Asafoetida)
5) Then add the ginger garlic paste (1 tsp)
6) Put in a cup of water and stir it thoroughly
7) Then add 1 tsp cumin powder & 1¼ tsp of coriander powder
8) Addition of half tsp turmeric powder & salt as per taste
9) Further, 2-3 pcs of kokum, coriander leaves & jaggery as per choice
10) Mix it well on a simmer flame, and then finally, add the boiled moong
11) Let it boil for 5-7 mins, then low down the flame
(PS – Stir at regular intervals)
