If not released, plaque will fix at the gum line. The germs will create toxins that will make the gums red, delicate, and probably bleed when brushing your teeth. The preliminary cause of gingivitis is the germs that cover your teeth, and if oral hygiene is inferior, it forms a sticky white substance termed plaque.

- Use of Clove Oil
Clove oil is believed to be one of the most useful home remedies for gums problems. Take a pinch of clove oil and massage gently on your gums or munch 2 cloves. You may feel a little blazing sensation, but it will decrease the inflammation to a superb extent.
- Use Turmeric
Apply turmeric straight to the hurting area of the gums. Turmeric has antibacterial properties & has wound recovering and healing effects as well which is essential in healing inflated & bleeding gums.
- Vitamin C For Healthy Gums
Amla also known as gooseberry & lemons are an affluent source of Vitamin C and aid to relieve inflammation. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon or make juice of amla and add some rock salt to it. Rub this mixture on your teeth and gums properly and gently. Let it do its spell for a few minutes, then rinse off by rinsing with lukewarm water. Also, drink amla & lemons juice to reduce the shortage of vitamin C.
- Vegetables & Fruits
Fresh, green, and natural vegetables and fruits not only are excellent for comprehensive health they are also equally vital for healthy gums as well. Fresh fruits and vegetables are affluent in vitamins, minerals and are also low in calories. Munching uncooked vegetables helps to enhance blood circulation in gums, thus reducing the bleeding and inflammation of gums.
- Guava Leaf
Infused with powerful anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial effects, guava leaves offer a swift and effortless remedy to treat bleeding or inflammatory gums right at home. Be it inflamed gums, or gingivitis, these leaves play an essential role in sustaining good oral hygiene. Just simmer a few leaves in freshwater or make a smooth paste of the leaves. Wash your mouth with water or you can gently massage the paste on the bleeding gums to get instantaneous comfort.
Home Remedy
- Chew 1 tsp of til daily morning on an empty stomach.
- For gargling, have 1 tsp of jesthimadh and 2 pinches of fitkari (Alum.)
- Apply sesame oil (Til) on the gums and massage them.
Make your own tooth powder
- Triphala powder 50 grams
- Neem powder 50 grams
- Turmeric 20 grams
- Catechu Bark Powder 30 grams
- Rock Salt 20 grams
Mix them together. Apply it over the teeth and gums. Leave it for two minutes. Brush your teeth and rinse.
